WAN thinks it is better for KWAN to live abroad in France than to stay in the family. He hides KWAN in a hotel as he knows HANG demands to bring her home. SAU-HANG realizes that KWAN is hiding in the hotel when she is having a drink there. HANG sends servant to get KWAN home, he believes the matter will be settled if he puts pressure on KO. Yet, she ceases the poisoning when she suspects TIP has known about her plot. YEE tells SHING the fact that CHO died because he wanted to save her life. She still hopes SHING will marry her and they will have a baby. Regrettably, she leaves with a heavy heart as she is not given a positive answer as she wished.
