Listening attentively, Hasama advised her to rely more on the adults around her instead of carrying everything on her own. Just then, they realized Gorō was nowhere to be seen. Panicked, Akane stood up quickly to search for him but lost her balance and fell onto Hasama. He caught her in his arms… but then, his hands started moving in a rather suspicious manner.

As the days passed, their shared life increasingly started to resemble that of a cohabiting couple. Ken would turn down drinking invitations after work, brush off his suspicious colleagues who were starting to wonder about his behavior, and head home earlier than before. By the time he arrived, Akane was already home. Wearing her school uniform with an apron over it, she was in the middle of cooking dinner. After the meal, while eating dessert, Akane gets teased by Ken: “You’re gonna get fat if you keep eating like that.” Hearing something she was already a little self-conscious about pointed out so directly, Akane starts seriously thinking about going on a diet. Ken then casually suggests, with his usual shameless grin: “How about we do sex as exercise? You burn calories and we both feel good. Best diet plan ever.” And so, that was his completely self-serving “solution” to her diet concerns.

On a holiday morning, Akane wakes up Ken, who is sprawled out and sleeping sloppily. They had made plans to go shopping together that day. Ken was exhausted from all the walking, but Akane was in high spirits because it was their first time going out together on a day off. While they were resting at the food court, they unexpectedly ran into Yui, one of Akane’s classmates. Yui misunderstood the situation, thinking Akane was doing something dangerous, and made a huge scene. She then called over Yuki, another one of Akane’s classmates. Under the relentless questioning from the two girls, Akane and Ken ended up confessing that they were living together and that they had already had sex. After finally being released by the two girls, Akane and Ken were completely drained. They decided to “rest” by going into a love hotel.
