Karen and Mick return from their honeymoon and news is waiting, Toby and his friends plan a trip, Ian delivers bad news to Maureen, Carol remains in bad health, and Charlie attempts a hook up.

Carol arrives at the hospital for her appointment with the specialist, Karen is on edge knowing Terry is out there, Toby, Tyson, Trafford and Rory clean cars to raise money, and Charlie attempts to contact Lewis.

Karen is feeling insecure and stressed, Charlie speaks with Lewis then later bumps in to Stacey who is having a panic attack, Toby has a new scheme to raise money, and Dale spirals deeper through gambling.

Tyler shows up and reveals all to Sandra, Stacey's parents meet Liams parents for the first time at a dinner party hosted by Frank and Tracey, and Carol ignores an important call as Rocky gets suspicious.

Dale's world comes crashing down when the truth comes out, Stacey has another panic attack and reveals all to Liam, Toby, Trafford, Rory and Tyson continue to make money until Tyson's dad John gets involved.

Mick suspects something is on Karen's mind, Toby, Trafford and Rory fail to hear from Tyson and wonder about the money, Irene continues to believe Elaine is playing tricks on her, and Ethan continues to drink.

Tyson lies about the missing money, Ethan continues to spiral, Irene trashes Elaine's garden then has an unexpected visitor, and Karen has the courage to call Jake finally.

Ethan accepts a dare from Elliott and things later take a dark turn, Dave has a bad day, Karen reaches out to Jake, and Irene's behavior gets more erratic.

Charlie has a heart to heart with Joyce and reveals all, Ethan snaps at Stacey as Lennon comes to stay, Tyler brings bad news for Dale, and Zara gets desperate and slips in to old ways.

Dale packs up to leave town but there is a bit of hope that comes his way, Maureen and Patrick need to find a place to stay, and Joyce is upset when Charlie decides to head back to London.

The Marshalls arrive in town ready for Shelly to start her job as a reporter, but it's not the warm welcome they hoped for, Stacey asks Liam to speak with Ethan as Lennon makes himself at home, and Tracey and Frank try to tolerate their new house guests.

It is Shellys first day at work but it does not go to plan, Rocky finds out what Carol has been hiding, and Lennon attempts to get Ethan to open up.

It is the day of Carol's hospital appointment and she is nervous, Caleb pays a visit to his family as Shelly has another bad day at work, Liam fails in getting Ethan to open up.

It is the end game for Zara and Rob as Ryan puts pressure on, there is a misunderstanding about the person next door by Caleb, Stacey and Ethan have a heart to heart, Carol faces the truth, and Rocky continues to look for work.

It is the week before Christmas and the residents are getting ready for the big day. Ethan is not feeling the Christmas spirit, Lee continues to gas light Irene, Rocky learns something about Carol, and a surprise is in store for Karen.

It is Christmas eve and Rocky has a surprise for Carol, Karen makes up with Jake, Irene is left shocked, and Liam gets ready to propose to Stacey.

It is Christmas day and the festivities get underway. The Reeves family tolerate Maureen and Patrick, The Watkins' deal with a drunk Dougie, Irene has a big surprise for Lee, and things take a dark turn in the Willis house.

Christmas Day continues and lives hang in the balance, then once boxing day rolls around there is another blast from the past.

It is New Years eve but things do not go to plan for everyone and one life comes to a dark end as the midnight fire works go off.
