YAU tells SZE’s family she would visit her brother in Po Tin County. In fact, she just uses it as an excuse in order to leave SZE’s family. YAU has a weird feeling and tails after her to Po Tin County. YAU confesses that it was herself to embroil LUN’s wife and children causing their death. Meanwhile, SHUN beats LUN. He passes out. Episode 1
After the wreck of wife and children, SZE SAI-LUN quits his duty bringing his mother CHIU YUET-NGO and wives PONG KOT-OI and KAR SAU-YUK traveling around the world. On their way, they chance upon the Constable SO YING-CHUN of Sin Yau County while he is chasing the criminal SAU DAI-FU. NGO is grasped by FU in the hotel. Meanwhile, the cashier NG KWAN-YAU claims that she is occupied by a ghost asking FU to repay her life. Finally FU is under arrested. LUN suspects YAU used swordfish to kill people. He then enters his dream asking PILLOW FAIRY to help. LUN goes to the victim, CHAN DAI KWAN’s home and found out YAU has been there. Later on, he overhears YAU talking to her companion. He believes that YAU has killed people because of the state’s silver. CHUN and LUN know that YAU has argued with KWAN the day before KWAN died. LUN finally understands the indications from PILLOW FAIRY. YAU becomes wanted and tries to find LUN to help but fails. She grasped LUN but finally is arrested. On the wedding day of YAU and LUN, YAU finds out LUN was the person who wrongly judged her elder brother. She then wants to kill him but eventually cannot make it. YAU has nothing to do with it and accepts her Uncle NG SAU-SHUN’s advice to stay in SZE’s family waiting for a chance to revenge. CHUN knows that TIP wants to find the bad man in Sin Yau County. He then wants to bring her to the prostitute’s house. By virtue of several evidences, TIP suspects YAU’s companion, CHU-KOT LEUNG, is the man who reverted the marriage. The prison officer OR requests YAU for ransom. In order to save the brother, YAU cheat the prostitute’s money again. Because of it, she finds out the underwear of the prostitute is stolen by someone. She then plans to set LUN up. For the sake of NGO, LUN forces himself to go to PILLOW FAIRY for hints about the case of stolen underwear. CHUN infers that it was done by a monk. He then asks MASTER MING-TANG……

Having fired, CHUN goes to the prostitute’s house all the time. TIP finds CHUN losing his confidence and cannot bear to it. She brings CHUN to see the fireflies in order to encourage him. YAU knows that the famous painting “The Fairy Under The Moon” will be exhibited in the Government’s Office before handing over the PRINCESS YIN-HAN. She plans to kill two birds by one stone. She carefully schemes out the plan of stealing the painting. However, it is snatched away by the White Ghost. In order to repent of his fault, CHUN tries to arrest the Ghost but is finally fallen into a trap in the forest. LUN asks PILLOW FAIRY for hints to find the painting but he does not understand. The painter of “The Fairy Under The Moon”, FUNG CHI-HOI, finds YAU to communicate with the nether world and wants to meet with the lady, SIN-YING inside the painting. LUN and YAU both go to HOI and YIN’s old house……

LUN says if they cannot find “The Fairy under the Moon”, their family will be all sentenced to death punishment. YAU feels it was she to embroil everyone. LUN asks help from the PILLOW FAIRY by all means. Finally he gets the hints. YAU purposely mislead LUN to go to the East Mountain. She then tries to find the painter but fails. DIP knows CHUN disappeared and proposes to find him in Dragon Mountain in the western suburb. She can find CHUN. However, CHUN is hurt by a scorpion. DIP sucks out the toxic blood from the wound. CHUN tosses about. LUN visits HOI and finds him committing suicide by hitting the pillar. He leaves a will. LUN finds the will manuscript with rattan bits which makes him feel suspicious. DIP and YAU finds the cave that YING hides and thinks YING is not a ghost. LUN decides to show “The Fairy under the Moon” again and set up a trap…… YAU hides “The Fairy under the Moon”……

YAU is affected by SZE’s family. She returned the painting to HAN in order to save SZE’s family. PILLOW FAIRY forgot his real identity when he died. All he got is a handkerchief with LITTLE NGAU. He asks LUN to help investigate. LUN checks with HAN’s manager MASTER LO but LO hides something. HAN has imposed pressure to LUN so CHUN can resume his work. DIP finds out CHUN is the man who broke the marriage promise. She then decides to be a consultant in the police station in order to revenge. CHUN destroys NGO’s “Son Giving Guanyin”. CHUN is blamed. However, LUN defends for CHUN so YAU then realizes CHUN’s real identity. YU’s false identity is revealed and he will be executed earlier. YAU is worried and wants to kidnap CHUN and force HAN to release YU. However, she fails and leaves down a letter which has puzzled LUN. PILLOW FAIRY hints LUN. He then suspects about YAU……

LUN tries to sleep and blame PILLOW FAIRY. In fact, he still misses YAU. On the other hand, YAU also loves LUN. Later on, YAU plays some tricks with mystery and misleads the people in the village to think it is the Wolf Demon harassing them. She then cheats money in order to pay for the person who helps saving YU from the prison. LUN then reveals YAU’s plan and arrests her in order to avoid her being further. DIP convinces LUN to believe YAU about the details of her grievances. LUN goes to the prison overhearing YAU is the one who saved his family but she does not want to let LUN know. LUN then goes to Po Tin County to investigate YU’s case. Accidentally LUN finds out DIP is a lady in the bathroom. In order to avoid embarrassment, they both agree to keep this secret. LUN finds no clues in the hotel. He then tries to follow the hints provided by PILLOW FAIRY and investigates SAM YUEN TROUPE. He finds out HON and the actress LING-LUNG are having intimate relationship. HON’s wife also points out the deceased actor, YIM PAK-SANG, in YU’s case also had intimate relationship with LING-LUNG which leads LUN to associate LUNG in both cases. LUN requests to postpone YU’s execution guaranteed by his job. He wants to find out some evidence from LING-LUNG. During investigation, LING-LUNG confesses killing HON but denies killing SANG. YAU does not believe and tails after SIU-LAU, LUNG’s best friend. YAU is then blamed by LUN.

LUN revisited the scenes of two murder cases. He finds a narrow passage way connecting two rooms. He releases TONG and LUNG. Then he arranges TONG and YAU pretend having an affair with each other in order to attract the murderer…… YU and YUK finally are proved innocence. She is teased by YUK, falls down and gets hurt. But because of LUN, she endures all disgraces and insults. In fact, LUN wants to seek help from PILLOW FAIRY for reconciling with YAU. He finds the old folks and the village chief LO SHU-KAN were died in the temple by lighting……

LUN arrives NGAU Village and gets to know a part of the anecdote of PILLOW FAIRY’s previous life. A village man LO TAT is pecked by a crow and died. The ballad comes true again. There are some similarities between the CHUN and what is hinted by PILLOW FAIRY. He is accused for murdering by black magic. LUN is invited to investigate in the village. KAN’s son LO YAU-CHOY is dead in CHIK’s house with his head and corpse placing in different places. The situation matches with the ballad. SHEUNG tells the people that CHOY and TAT are the real murders of the rape and murder case. CHUEN blames himself. TIP finds all fishes in the pond are dead and reveals that the lighting accident is actually not an accident. LUN goes to CHIK’s house and reveals that CHOY’s death is also contrived. He also finds out the youngest kid in CHIK’s family – CHIK YIU-TIN has survived from the fire outbreak. He believes TIN is the murderer……

The murderer in the ballad case is arrested but CHUEN was injured severely. CHUEN hopes LUN and TIP can get married. YAU understands and allows. CHUN wants to stop them but TIP insists. CHUN has nothing to do but blesses her. CHUEN has died with a smile. LUN and YAU pretend pregnant in order to back SZE’s family. But they are forced to sleep separately. CHUN becomes a workaholic as he cannot marry with TIP. But he catches people without a solid reason. CHUN meets the rapist KOT-FEI in the prison. FEI asks him to bring a message home. CHUN finds a new clue in FEI’s home and decides to appeal for him. LUN finds out the past life of PILLOW FAIRY was a prostitute in the Capital City. He then heads to the capital for further investigation. Another rapist commits crime which is doing similar as FEI. The victim TIN SIU-TUNG is the one that was nearly killed by the rapist. CHUN thinks FEI is innocent and releases him……

LUN meets MASTER WU in the Capital City and finds out the reason of PILLOW FAIRY’s death. In fact, what MASTER WU said was fake which is arranged by LO. MASTER WU is eventually killed by LO in order to keep the secret. LUNG finds out the person who hurt TUNG is not the convict. He is just a substitute. In fact FEI uses CHUN by a fake letter and substitute. CHUN is almost killed by FEI. TIP blames him badly. He then knows how useless he is and finds out HAN helps him in secret. CHUN wants to show off himself. But how hard he tries, how useless it shows. He is blamed and beaten by the other people in the village. Luckily YAU saves him and brings him back to the hotel. YUK finds out YAU pretending pregnant. Luckily the people in the hotel make YUK drunk and SZE’s family think YAU is just drunk and rioting. YAU tells TIP CHUN in injured severely forcing TIP to show how she really cares about CHUN. FEI finally kills TUNG……

CHUN gives up himself and lives in a broken temple staying with the beggars. He even wants to suicide by hanging. However, he fails. LUN sets up a trap to catch FEI but fails. He seeks help from PILLOW FAIRY. With the hints, LUN finds new clue from TUNG’s corpse. TIP blames CHUN in the broken temple. She chances upon FEI and is grasped by him when she is leaving. CHUN tries hard to save her and finally arrests FEI. TIP is encouraged by LUN and decides to mend her relationship with CHUN. However, HAN says she has arranged somebody to marry CHUN in order to light up their family. TIP leaves with sorrows. NGO expels YUK from home. YAU feels bad and admits that she pretends pregnant. YAU can stay but NGO treats her bad. But YUK and YAU are finally reconciled. CHUN reforms himself thoroughly and goes back to the Government Office to work. He wants to reconcile with TIP but is badly treated by her……

LUN and CHUN go to the Capital City again to investigate the reason of PILLOW FAIRY’s death. They find out PILLOW FAIRY might have died in Po Tin County so they go there and investigate. On the way, LO arranges somebody to exchange the magic pillow and throw it into the sea. Luckily PILLOW FAIRY saves himself and back to the ship. The ship passes the mysterious coast that LUN’s wife and children died from the wreck. The sea is foggy and the ship disappears. Their situation is unknown. SZE’s family is filled with sadness. NGO blames YAU bringing curses to LUN killing him. NGO leaves and falls down from the cliff. She disappears. YAU goes searching for NGO but gets injured. She does not care of her injury in order to save NGO. NGO changes her perception towards YAU. LUN and CHUN leave stranded in an island. PILLOW FAIRY performs the magic leading the rescue ship to find them both……

CHUN knows from the magic plate that TIP still loves him. HAN is displeased. The CONSORT PRINCE AH CHAI invites SZE’s family for dinner. CHAI takes the opportunity to stress on LUN and TIP by virtue of the lives of SZE’s family. TIP tries to drown her trouble in liquor. Sheriff Tsui-fung finds out there was smuggling wine in the ship when he is investigating the case. LUN suspects the accident is caused by fire. Having noted that, YAU feels bad. In fact, because of the misjudgment of her brother, YAU threatened the government official by setting off the firecrackers. She suspects that the ship wreck was triggered by firecrackers exploding the smuggled wine. It killed LUN’s wife and children. YAU feels guilty and uneasy. After investigation, LUN finds out that PILLOW FAIRY has met a girl whose last name is NG that day. PILLOW FAIRY also remembers a bracelet in blue color. CHUN tries hard to save TIP without considering his own safety. However, the assassinator is so lenient to CHUN. CHUN then thinks LUN and YAU are maligned by someone. PILLOW FAIRY thinks about himself being associated with the murder case while giving hints to LUN. He then avoids seeing LUN. SIN confesses to CHUN that she and HAN plot together to cheat CHUN. She also persuades CHUN to reconcile with TIP. Because of knowing the truth of the wreck, CHUN is poised and passed out. NGO wants to see LUN and YAU. The police then discover where YAU is. TIP uses her life to force PILLOW FAIRY coming out helping LUN to crack the case. She sets up a 3-day time limit. LUN and YAU are chased by the police. Luckily PILLOW FAIRY and FUNG save them……

PILLOW FAIRY is almost eliminated by LO. Luckily FUNG helps and saves him. However, PILLOW FAIRY is getting weaker and weaker. LUN finds some evidence from CHAI proving that CHAI has some relationship with TAN. YAU finds HAN to help but HAN destroys all the evidences in order to save CHAI. SZE and NG’s families are all retained waiting for execution. PILLOW FAIRY uses the magic to save the team but he is then caught by LO. He is at death’s door. Having known that the Imperial Commissioner PRINCE KING arriving soon, LUN decides to seek for his help without consideration. LUN and the team lead PRINCE KING to HAN’s house and finally save PILLOW FAIRY. The team and CHAI are in confrontation. Though all evidences are destroyed, CHAI confesses all her crimes and suicides at once. LO grasps HAN and tries to escape. FUNG beats LO and saves HAN. However, LO escapes and grasps YAU. YAU’s status remains unknown.

PILLOW FAIRY hints LUN with “Golden Dragon with five claws”. LUN then tries to find YAU by this hint but fails. However, he finds LO’s corpse on the way. He is killed with a new wound. LUN feels something hidden. In fact, YAU is trapped in a dry well by the real murderer. She shouts but nobody helps. Having been detoxified, CHUN carries TIP to the hill but they both disappear afterwards. LUN arrives the cliff according to the routing that LO grasped HAN. He finds out a jade of YAU. The team think YAU has fell down from the cliff and died. But LUN thinks somebody is ruining them by adding something in order to mislead the people thinking YAU has died. CHUN is found. The real murderer tries to kill CHUN hiding the truth…… YAU is bitten by a poisonous snake and dying in the well. Suddenly PILLOW FAIRY appears using his last breath to save and detoxify YAU. However, YAU almost dies without food and water……
