The Old Perspective

The world before the story. Then the orphanage. The 4 are introduced through one specific afternoon - not a summary but a chosen day. They lose a basketball game to older kids who corner them afterward. They take the hits together and walk away together. In his officee a stones throw away, Simon checks his EBand with practiced anxiety before closing the drawer on it. That evening, tending each other's bruises, talking about futures that feel impossibly far away, Simon calls them in. A couple has shown interest in adopting them all. The episode ends on four faces lit up with something they've learned not to feel too much of. Hope.
A Bad Sign

He tells himself he is protecting them from disappointment, from separation, from a world that would take them apart the moment it could. None of that is the whole truth. He sends the email quickly, before he can change his mind. The couple's horrified response arrives within hours. Meanwhile, across London, Arden and Nico - independently converging on the same address - cross paths. The fight that follows is the series' first real weaving sequence: fast, precise, the mechanics of entropy and soul degradation showcased through action rather than explanation. Back at the orphanage, Simon watches through his window as the four talk animatedly about the bakery they'll open with their new parents. He closes the blinds and sighs.
Caged By the Past
As Arden forces Nico into retreat and continues toward the orphanage, Simon tasks Maya with cleaning his office. When he leaves to go to the toilet, she is left alone with his unlocked desktop. Curiosity gets the better of her, and she begins to snoop. But almost instantly, she finds the email - reads the lie written about her - and then the EBand charging on the desk buzzes. She looks at it and reads; "Warning! Multiple A-Level Weavers detected nearby." In shock, she quickly leaves, on her way out noting an air vent that could be used to eavsedrop, and tells the others. Simultaneously, we see Nico regrouping - bruised yes, but also making an important decision - deciding whether to report back to Vane or continue tailing Arden. He chooses to tail. Arden arrives and finds Simon. The kids take notice and press their ears to the vent. Arden tells Simon she needs information on Alistair Vane. She needs to know how to kill him. Simon goes very still. Then: "Close the door."
Awakened Perfection
After some back and forth small talk, Simon begins his account of Lab Leak to help explain what he knows of Vane and his powers. Abruptly, the episode shifts from present day, to a flashback from the POV of Simon. We see the lab. His wife. The military project's purpose laid bare. A seventeen-year-old Vane waking from a medication error, calm at first, asking simply: "What am I?" Then the blueprints. Then the files proving sixteen weavers were slaughtered to create him, with more kept in the same wing for further testing, though Vane doesn’t know that part. The cold rage that follows is not explosive. It is quiet, total, and absolute. Simon watches from behind glass as the lab comes apart, and his wife disintegrates only meters away. The flashback ends as Vane hovers silently over the wreckage in the pre-dawn dark, before he folds space and vanishes. 12 of 217 survived. The 4 kids listen through the vent in complete silence and shock.
Shattered Minds
After Ardens visit, the four are processing differently - Elias and Iris disagreeing along ideologies over if Vane was at fault, while Liam tries not to pick a side. Maya, as per usual, is the only person that settles things down by suggesting they confront Simon. But when they do, and Simon makes a clumsy lie about financial jargon, the last of their trust evaporates instantly. As Arden is leaving the compound - her EBand fires a new alert. She looks back and sees the children crowded around Simon, immediately understanding she may have found more than she came for. We then cut to Nico reporting to Vane from a distance - he tailed Arden, and received the same alert. Vane listens without expression, before saying; "Interesting. I suppose I should come check it out myself".
Just the Four of Us
Simon, guilty and trying to compensate without explaining why, takes the kids on a rare day trip - a park in South London, chips from a van, a stolen afternoon. The episode is almost entirely theirs. We learn who they are through specifics: Elias's habit of physically placing himself between his friends and anything that moves too fast toward them. Iris cataloguing exit routes from every space she enters without realising she's doing it. Liam mediating every minor friction between the others with practiced ease. Maya feeding the last of her chips to a stray dog and being quietly delighted when it follows them for twenty minutes. The last image is of her brother's face before she was taken by the US soldiers and her family killed. She only knows they're missing.
Dual Fronts
The day of Arden and Mordred's visit arrives. The compound empties until the four are alone with Simon. Two separate convoys move through London toward the same address - Vane and Nico from the north, Mordred and Arden from the south - while in the compound the confrontation finally begins. Simon, with nowhere left to go, starts talking. This time he frames Vane as the monster. The Iris/Elias rift tears back open, and their emotional surge builds. Lights flicker, air pressure shifts, something in the room feels wrong. Just when it seems things will get out of control, Nico arrives, steps through the door, and calmly tells them all to settle down, unaware the convoy from the south is only three minutes away.
Push and Pull: Part 1
As Nico explains the danger of awakening and the kids + Simon start asking questions, Arden walks in. Only moments go by before chaos erupts. Vane, sensing the danger, teleports into the compound, assesses, and extracts the children to the perimeter. He tells them to stay hidden and silent, as Nico/Arden re-match fight begins escalating. The four kids watching through gaps in the fence. For the first time they see what weaving looks like in full deployment. Maya keeps her hand on Liam's arm throughout. Vane observes both the fight and the children with the same unreadable expression. As the fight goes on, Arden reads Nico is more confident than before, and deduces he isn't alone, causing her to go defensive, and call Mordred for backup.
Push and Pull: Part 2
When Mordred arrives, he and Vane lock eyes and attack on instinct - no preamble, no words needed. The scale of their clash immediately dwarfs everything preceding it. The four run for the best cover they can see behind a rain shelter, as Nico and Arden, drained and outclassed, find themselves reduced to support units on opposite sides of a battle neither controls. They share a brief, absurd moment of mutual recognition - two elite weavers made completely irrelevant by the people they work for. When the 4 are nearly at the shelter, Maya suddenly feels a sharp pain. When she raises her hand to her chest and sees blood, she falls. The ep ends with Liam turning to catch her, and the battle continuing above them, indifferent.
Push and Pull: Part 3
The battle continues above. The kids try to stop the bleeding but have nothing. Their cries for help are swallowed by the noise. Nico and Arden flee separately, each making the same calculation to save themselves. The fight rages on. Then slowly the sound pulls back, narrowing its focus entirely to the kids behind the shelter. The kids continue to desperately look for a solution, until Maya says: "Don't forget me." and she's gone. The awakening that follows is not triumphant - it's grief made physical, 3 kids tearing themselves apart with power they don't understand. Vane and Mordred, at a stalemate, stop. They descend over the kids, and extend their hands, each offering a different channel for their newfound power and rage. The now 3 children, processing the same loss through entirely different eyes, walk in 3 different directions. Iris with Vane, Elias with Mordred. Liam though doesn't pick either. He stays. The ep zooms out till he's a small figure in the wreckage, alone with Maya.
The Quiet After
Almost no dialogue. Liam sits with Maya's body as the sun comes up. After then finding Simon's body too, has nothing to do but wait. A stranger notices him through the gate. Police arrive, survey the destruction, and write it off as a gas explosion. Someone asks Liam if he has family. He says no. They take him across London to a new facility - clean, orderly, full of strangers. He sits on a new bed in a new room and stares at the wall. Meanwhile, we see Elias arriving at Mordred's compound - cold architecture, lieutenants assessing him with undisguised calculation, as Iris simultaneously arrives at Vane's - quieter, more considered, but no less a transaction. Both of them, in separate rooms, sit on separate beds and stare at separate walls. In the episode's final minutes, Liam's phone screen lights up. A weaving underground forum. He stares at it, and opens it.
Fault Lines
Three weeks later. Three threads at equal weight. Elias begins real training under Mordred - the first controlled activation of his density compression, observed by Arden with visible unease at the regeneration readings. Iris begins consciously deploying vector redirection, Vane correcting her form with precise, impersonal instruction. She asks him once, quietly, if he has any family. He doesn't answer for a long time. Then: "Focus." Liam attends his first underground gathering - a basement in Peckham, twelve weavers who don't trust each other yet. He speaks only once. Her face in the blue television light. Then the convoy headlights. Cut to Liam. He and Lilith share a quiet evening at home. She falls asleep on the sofa with her head on his shoulder. For just a moment, the weight of the world lifts from his shoulders, as he's reminded what it feels like to be free, and why he choose to take this path.
The Wrong Question
Both factions arrive at Juno's address, within minutes of each other. Elias and Iris, arriving on opposite sides of the same room, lock eyes across it. Neither moves. Juno, surrounded by people who clearly possess powers she has no concept of, goes very still and says nothing. Vane and Mordred deliver their respective cases with the practiced calm of men who have been having this argument for decades. The tension is palpable. They are talking to her but looking at each other. The room waits. Juno looks between them. Looks at Iris. Looks at Elias. And then, in a shaking voice, croaks: "Who are you people? What do you want from me?" The silence that follows is the season's last sound before black. Post-credits: Liam and Lilith sit at a table with six others. A map of global infrastructure between them. A list of nuclear facilities on a laptop screen. Liam looks at it for a long moment. Then closes the laptop. Not because he's changed his mind. Because he's ready.
