Episode 1

LO is glad to see YUI risks his life to save her and believes that they might have the chance to reunite. MEI meets YUI. YUI thinks that she is a mad woman. MEI is determined not to depend on others and set up her own shop selling soya bean. However, KAO and CHUEN oppose MEI. PAK behaves abnormally. She treats the palace servant well and even helps to do household work at SHEK’s home. She hopes that BILL would accept her. BILL keeps away from PAK and persuades her not to push herself too hard. PAK misunderstands BILL and is very happy.

CHUEN introduces MEI to CHOW. However, CHOW likes KAO. He is willing to pay much for KAO. CHUEN finds his offer attractive. GAY and YEK find that SASA loves YUI unexpectedly. CHI does not believe and double checks with KING. CHI then learns that SASA is a killer to everybody. YUI nearly faints. He devises to scare SASA away and arrange a play with FU. SASA faints when she witnessed YUI who has become so bad.

Episode 3

SASA is very sick. She asks SIN for help. SIN told SASA that she has to get YUI’s Harmonious Spell. SASA slips into the KIM’s home. CHI hurts SASA unintentionally with the insect killing tool. YEK found that MEI and LO are selling soya bean, he deliberately disturbs them and gives them poison so that they could kill themselves. At midnight, YEK suddenly recalls the MEI and LO were not the murderer. They then hurry to SHEK’s home. MEI and LO are lying on the floor.

Episode 4

YUI is heart broken. MEI and LO climb up and they learn that they are all right. YUI intends to bring them home. LO pretends to oppose his proposal and keeps MEI away. LO then negotiates with YUI alone. MEI sees that somebody is coming to welcome the bride, she then learns that LO has set her up. MEI is very angry. With CHUEN’s help, MEI exchanges the position with LO and becomes the first wife.

LIN sees that there are not enough toilet facilities for the palace servant. He proposes to KING to build more toilets in the Fung Loi Court. KWOK KAU does not want people to find out that he has occupied the Fung Loi area illegally. He asks the QUEEN to manipulate KING to build the toilets at Ka Yan Palace instead. The KIM’s family asks PRINCESS to help. PRINCESS invites KING to Ka Yan Palace to solve her problem. KING decides to exchange. KWOK KOU is shocked to see that the main entrance of his palace is under construction for toilets.

KING finds some worms in his food. He asks LIN to investigate. LIN then discovers that there are worms in most of the Chinese medicine. KING blames KWOK KAU. KWOK KAU takes revenge and sends LIN to manage a project at Shenxi. PRINCESS worries a lot for LIN and accompanies him to Shenxi. They encounter accident when they are on the way to Shenxi.

PRINCESS and LIN fall down from the cliff. LIN discovers there is something wrong at the cart wheels and suspects somebody had deliberately damaged the wheel. PRINCESS decides to report the case to KING. They try to locate the way out and discover that the villagers of a village are wearing Palace uniform. They suspect that somebody in the palace are selling Palace uniform illegally. YEK, MEI. LO and GAY go to a gem shop and are all fond of the precious gem. However, they are reluctant to spend so much money on them. They decide to ask CHI to buy them those gem. CHI agrees unreservedly. They are very happy. However, they are shocked when they unwrap their gift………. KING has learnt about the “Palace Uniform” secret and is now investigating the case.

KWOK KAU denies. KING goes to the Summer Palace with the KIM’s family to celebrate the mid-autumn festival. KWOK KAU orders eunuch LING to stop the KIM’s family going with KING. Consequently, only QUEEN accompanies KING to the Summer Palace. On his way KING saw that some people are bowing to dogs.

KWOK KAU is the one to blame for the “Palace Uniform” issue. KING punishes him. Eunuch LING will help KWOK KAU secretly and asks him not to worry. SASA eavesdrops at their conversation and changes the punishing tool. KWOK KAU suffers terribly on the needle bed. QUEEN hates LIN more and swears to revenge. There is plague of locusts at Shanxi. KING asks the official to donate money to relieve famine. KWOK KAU again has had bad intention. Fortunately, LIN is well-prepared.

There is a fire at KIM’s home at Resonance Town. CHI and YUI return home to investigate and suspect it is not an accident. However, they got no clue at all. CHI mingles into the mental hospital in the hope of getting some clues. She discovers that her enemy, THUNDER HUNG, is living in the mental hospital. CHI is in doubt and wants to interrogate HUNG. Unexpectedly, she is being locked up in the prison. CHI shouts for help. Meanwhile, her enemy is ready to kill her.

CHI informs everybody that she is safe. PRINCESS and GAY make clothes for LIN and FU respectively. They wear the new clothes. FU cannot walk at all. He orders GAY to improve her needlework. Otherwise, he will divorce her. LIN appreciates PRINCESS’s effort and wants to buy her something. PRINCESS likes a precious jade bangle. However, she knew that LIN cannot effort it and lies that she does not like it. LIN and BILL collect all donation funds and set off. KWOK KAU insists to join them. KING refuses to let KWOK KAU join them. The next day the Gem Shop sends PRINCESS the precious jade bangle. PRINCESS thinks that LIN bought her that jade bangle. She is very happy.

FU always shouts at GAY. GAY leaves home. YEK, MEI and LO worry that GAY will commit suicide. They follow her secretly. They are very tired and take rest. All have picked up a bag of money. LIN’s cart overturns and discovers that all money has turned into stones. KING orders LIN to find out the criminal.

LIN and BILL suspect SASA who has mistakenly placed the papaya as the donation fund. CHUEN and KAO see that MEI has suddenly become rich. They want MEI to give them money. MEI refuses their request. MEI refuses LO to join the Legitimate Wife Association. In order not to lose face, she intends to buy the legitimate wife position. MEI refuses her money and even shows off her money. GAY worries that FU will divorce her. She buys a luxurious house secretly. YEK bought a crystal as she believes that it will bring her baby. The KIM’s family is under investigation. LIN finds out that the KIM’s women are related to the loss of donation fund.

Eunuch LING escorts the KIM’s family to see KING. LIN calculates the women’s property and finds that it does not match the figure of the donation fund. KWOK KAU accuses LIN who has embezzled some money. Evidence can be shown from PRINCESS’s jade bangle. The KIM’s family is locked into the prison. PRINCESS begs KING to forgive them. LIN disguises to escape away from prison. CHI and YUI back to the capital. Fortunately, SHEK TE tells them the case. They go to see LIN directly.

LIN and CHI decide to visit the treasury so as to get some clue. They by chance discover that Eunuch LING is good at martial arts. They suspect KWOK KAU but has no evidence. KWOK KAU carries out an inspection at the prison. Luckily, FU and HONG are shrewd enough to fool KWOK KAU around. KWOK KAU knew that he could not escape from misfortune. He asks the national monk to pray for him. However, PRINCESS arrives and makes his plan a mess. KWOK KAU asks SIN to give him advice. SIN asks him to do more good deeds such as begging KING to release the KIM’s family. Unexpectedly, KWOK does not follow what SIN said.

CHI sees that the deadline is due and has no way out. She knew that KWOK KAU and SIN have close contacted. She asks SIN to help by all means. SIN lies that KWOK KAU will die soon unless he saves lives. KWOK KAU begs QUEEN to free the KIM’s family. KING sleeps till noon. He finds the donation money on the table and QUEEN explains to him that KING had taken the money into his safe during sleep-walking. KING stops the executor to execute the KIM’s family.

Later, KING sends the KIM’s family a bucket. All refuse to accept the bucket and asks HOI TONG to throw it away. PRINCESS arrives and tells them that it is a gold bucket. KING is vexed at no son to succeed his throne. QUEEN tries all medicine to make herself pregnant. However, the KIM’s women makes her fall down on the ground ……

The KIM’s again escape from disaster. KING only punishes them lightly. LO bursts into the forbidden area and makes the place a mess. BROW discovers them and forces her to clean up the place.

LO, GAY, MEI and YEK listen to BROW’s instruction to prepare for the chicken feed. They burst into BROW’s room to catch a lost chicken. They discover a beautiful lady’s portrait. They found out that she is, in fact, one of the palace concubines and has been given the name of BO. She has been living in the palace for three years. QUEEN by chance hears LO who is talking about the woman who can bring people baby. She then orders them to accompany her to see this woman. All disguise as ordinary villagers. They eventually find this woman. With LO’s help, QUEEN succeeds to steal the nappy. On the way back they take shelter in a temple when it is raining. QUEEN drinks some wine to keep herself warm. QUEEN asks them to call her nickname and even tells them how poor she was when she was young. They atmosphere is very harmonious.

KING sees YUI who is playing happily with his son. YUI reminds KING that it might be QUEEN’s problem as they cannot have baby for years. FU is enlightened and claims that she could give some medicine to GAY. KING is glad and orders them to make some powerful formula.

YUI and FU do not succeed in making the soup. They believe that KING will chop their heads off. All worry a lot. LO, MEI and GAY ask BO to teach them the formula of upbringing the chickens. They intend to bribe KING with delicious chickens in case KING blamed their husbands. BO sees that they are good wives and agree to teach them.

Episode 22

KING receives a message that the Prince of Brox has just given birth to a son from his concubine. KING wants to have concubine too. QUEEN is upset. KING is mad at having just one dish. QUEEN knew what KING wants and proposes KING to select concubine. KWOK KAU manages this case. He fears that the new concubine might threaten QUEEN’s position. In fact, QUEEN got a plan in her mind. TE scolds a customer who intended to “eat and go”. CHUEN and KAO worry that TE cannot get married. LING announces the concubine selection. All try to flatter KWOK KAU. CHUEN and KAO bribe him in the hope that he will speak a few good words for TE. TE is forced to participate in the selection and is shocked to learn that the concubine must be a virgin.

LING summons TE to seat for the examination. She is so frightened that she could not respond. WAI scolds her. YUEN forces LING to help during emergency. TE eventually passes the exam. YUEN is punished for making the palace a mess. YUEN is willing to die for his love. The little couple has a sweet talk. When BO learnt that LO has broken all eggs, she sighs that it is fate. She refuses to give them more eggs. When LO learnt that BO is going to leave capital, they immediately persuade her to stay and set up an egg shop so that KING could have chicken for meal fed by her. QUEEN eavesdrops at their conversation and is mad. She devises to deal with BO. PAK gives very causal suggestion and makes KING like BO more.

QUEEN and KWOK KAU blame PAK and punish her. LO bursts into the Cheung Ki Palace mistakenly and learnt that concubine BO is BO. She is glad to see BO becomes one of KING’s favourite concubines. BO thanks QUEEN for giving her chance to meet KING. The four KIM’s beauties warn BO to be cautious with QUEEN who is a wicked woman.

The good relationship between BO and the four beauties makes FU, YUI and HONG being well treated by their superiors. FU’s superior even asks FU to leave early to see movie. YUI has ten days sick leave for just hurting a finger. HONG is appointed to edit the national history replacing MA KAN. LO praises KING who has bought BO a very beautiful night-gown. However, they are shocked to see BO’s manner. They decide to spend three days to reform her.

QUEEN prepares a very delicious dinner for KING. However, KING does not show up. PAK analyses why KING does not come. QUEEN slaps PAK. KING eventually appears. KING feels QUEEN who is very jealous. He then proposes to see QUEEN and BO alternatively. PAK speaks something wrong and makes KING leave. QUEEN scolds PAK terribly and threatens to chop off her tongue. CHUEN and KAO force BILL to attend a match-making meeting. They only target at the dowry. BILL refuses the match-making arrangement. A palace servant, DAN and BILL hide in the same shelter when it is raining. BILL makes more room for DAN politely. It wets half of his body. Both DAN and BILL leave a deep impression on each other.

A blind girl nearly makes KWOK KAU fall down from a building. Fortunately, TE saves him in time. KWOK KAU is deeply attracted by TE’s big eyes. He even recalls his dream girl who had saved him when he was a child. QUEEN warns KWOK KAU not to think of those who had already married and died. KWOK KAU still has hope and decides to win mum-in-law’s favour. He flatters KAO with sweet words and is very obedient to her. He even repairs furniture for the CHAN’s family.

KAO suspects KWOK KAU’s intention and goes to the temple to seek for divinity advice. She intends to make use of an old lady to have free fortune telling service. SIN sees through her intention and plays trick on her. SIN tells KAO that she might have an abnormal relationship with a man. KAO is very anxious. CHUEN’s old friend had just been abandoned by his family and lost his property as he had ignored his wife’s warning. His situation is very similar to CHUEN. CHUEN returns home and finds that his home a mess. His neighbour returns a “green hat” to CHUEN. CHUEN swears to find out the man …….

KWOK KAU visits CHAN’s family with a lot of gifts. He expresses that he will not give up. KAO has no way out and decides to sacrifice herself. Later she finds out that KWOK KAU loves TE instead. KAO is very embarrassed. CHUEN and KAO are glad to have KWOK KAU to be their son-in-law. However, they worry how they could make TE accept KWOK KAU. The owner of the silk shop, LAM, has become a street hawker due to the burden of having children. FU witnesses LAM’s son begging for money on the street. FU finds himself very lucky to have no children. LO learns that FU does not want to have any children at all. She suspects that he has a mistress. One day, GAY follows FU secretly and witnesses FU who is very intimate to a mother and son. GAY is so heart-broken that she attempted to commit suicide. With LO’s encouragement, they decide to take action…

KWOK KAU checks the progress. CHUEN and KAO propose to use foul mean to have TE. KWOK KAU scolds them who are so shameful. He swears to win TE’s heart. KWOK KAU discovers YUEN and TE who had met each other secretly. Fortunately, KWOK KAU thinks that their relationship is only good sisters. KWOK KAU orders YUEN to arrange a meeting with TE for him.

KWOK KAU demands YUEN to make TE go to the Lantern Festival. He then brings some flowers for TE. KWOK KAU drives YUEN away. YUEN waits for TE to finish her meeting with KWOK KAU. KWOK KAU is in a high spirit. He even recites poem and shows off in front of the martial art performer. Consequently, he makes himself very embarrassed. The KIM’s four beauties learnt that the spring water at QUEEN’s place could make their skin white and smooth. They bring along with utensils to steal the spring water. QUEEN discovers them and intends to punish them. KWOK KAU tries to protect them. He even scolds QUEEN who is too narrow-minded. He even orders people to send them the spring water everyday.

DAN receives a gift from BILL. She is very happy. However, she sees PAK who is beating a woman terribly who is competing with PAK for just a box of brush. DAN dares not to imagine what will happen to her if she competed with PAK for BILL. YUEN meets TE again. KWOK KAU follows them. YUEN hides away. TE is so scared that she faints. The doctor carries out a body check with TE. TE suffers a great blow when she learnt that she is pregnant.

The young couple is vexed that if they get married immediately, YUEN will be punished for cheating. If they do not get married, YUEN will be punished for committing adultery. YUEN intends to ask PRINCESS for help. Meanwhile, LIN and PRINCESS are in a discussion regarding whether they had punished the palace guard too heavy. LIN claims that if YUEN has not committed cheating, he could help. YUEN then lies that he wants to return to the hometown visiting old friends. MEI and LO quarrel. PRINCESS replaces MEI’s to play mahjong. MEI observes the game silently and discloses LO who has been cheating. The hatred between LO and MEI deepened.

KING breaks the pearl for SASA carelessly. KING then lies that he has lost it. SASA is mad. A clever contrivance comes up to FU’s mind. FU makes use of the fish eye to disguise as the pearl. SASA believes that it is her pearl. KING thanks FU and gives him a gold plate. However, KING gives FU the “Death Sentence Exemption Plate” mistakenly. QUEEN is angry with FU who is so lucky. TE and YUEN intend to elope away. KWOK KAU finds himself very bad luck. The national priest advises KWOK KAU to get married so as to wipe the bad luck away. KWOK KAU is enlightened that he could develop a relationship with TE slowly after getting married.

CHUEN and KAO know that KWOK KAU is not the baby’s father. TE insists not to marry KWOK KAU. They fear that KWOK KAU will persecute them if TE refuses his marriage proposal or KWOK KAU will discover the baby if TE agrees to marry him. Both ways are not good. YUEN and TE plan well for eloping away. MEI blames CHUEN and KAO who allows TE to marry the worst man in the world. TE agrees to marry KWOK KAU so as to calm everybody down. MEI is mad. TE slips away secretly. She thinks that CHUEN has discovered her but it is just a false alarm. TE waits for YUEN at the pier. YUEN is being delayed due to LING who has lost one dollar.

TE waits for a long time and YUEN does not show up. She decides to see YUEN at the palace. CHI is on her way to get a jacket. She meets TE who is climbing in the palace. CHI questions TE what has happened and learns that she is pregnant. CHI promises to help TE. CHUEN and KAO search for TE everywhere and fall into a trap in the forest. They eventually find TE and force her to marry KWOK KAU. TE faints in the palace. The palace doctor diagnoses that TE is pregnant.

KING makes an order that if TE does not tell the truth within three days, he will sentence her and her family to death. YUEN intends to confess. CHI tries to persuade KING to forgive TE while she is playing chess with him. However, KING is very angry when he come across this topic. YUEN confesses in front of KING. Fortunately, only CHI hears his confession. CHI knows that KING is still very angry and stops YUEN. She promises to help him. Deadline dues. TE insists to admit all faults. CHUEN and KAO blame TE who is not filial. KIM’s family also attends the judgement. TE points out that the baby’s father is FU. CHI is the witness. KING orders to execute FU.

CHI punishes FU first according to the KIM’s family law. Consequently, it saves FU. All blame FU. FU claims that he is innocent. GAY is very upset to share her husband with TE. YUEN and TE thank CHI and feel very sorry for FU who has become the scapegoat. CHI blames FU who was reluctant to lend them the “Death Sentence Exemtion Plate”. Otherwise, they will not devise such. CHI promises to arrange them leave later when the people have forgotten this case.

MEI thinks that GAY intended to kill TE. It is just a misunderstanding. GAY explains that fresh and blood relationship cannot be replaced, she decides to treat FU’s son as her own son. GAY cleans up the room for the baby. FU kidnaps GAY. In fact, FU insists not to be the scapegoat and intends to elope away with GAY. KING shares sweet soup with KWOK KAU brought by FU. KING is sick after taking the sweet soup. KWOK KAU points out that there is something wrong of the sweet soup. They arrest FU.

KWOK KAU sees that FU always claims that he is innocent. He wants to check whether FU is sterilized by checking his medical prescription. Events do not happen as one wishes. KWOK KAU is warned by the shopkeeper not to get married instead. The young couple is busy to plan for their elopement. TE tidied up her home before she elopes away. CHUEN and KAO are shocked to see so clean and tidy their home is.

CHI does not return home during dinnertime. All thinks that something bad has happened. BILL brings CHI home and CHI is in coma. CHUEN and KAO are very eager to know TE’s trace and try their best to wake CHI up. CHI eventually wakes up and tells them about the accident that the ship had sunk. CHUEN and his family are very upset. KING sees that CHI is sick. He intends to give her a thousand-year-old ginseng. KING discovers that the ginseng has lost. He is very angry and orders to carry out a thorough investigation. CHI finds that TONG is seriously injured and gives her some ointment. She sighs that LING again makes use of his authority to take revenge. CHI is aware that it was because of her. She decides to beg KING with PRINCESS.

CHI realizes that her wound is serious; nevertheless, she often has nightmare. CHI, therefore, scares that her life is almost come to an end and leaves her legacy and blessings to everybody. Family KIM is worried and despairs. Meanwhile, by deviation, SIN speaks about the bad situation of Family KIM and gives them a thesaurus for peace. The four beauty wives are stunned when they open the thesaurus; therefore, they decide to cover up the truth. Unfortunately, CHI finds out the truth and prepares her coffin frantically.

QUEEN BO makes the herbal soup for CHI in order to heal her wounds. Yet, KING is pleased to learn her compassionate and kindness; while he feels QUEEN KWAI is lacking humanity. Unfortunately, QUEEN KWAI overhears his compliments to QUEEN BO and feels jealous. PRINCESS recommends praying for CHI at the temple on the hill. QUEEN KWAI comes up a bad idea and orders eunuch LING to assault CHI in the meantime. Eunuch LING hypnotizes CHI and puts her into the coffin; then, he sets fire in order to burn her to death. Unexpectedly, CHI recovers from the illness due to the heat of fire. Moreover, QUEEN BO obtains a reward from KING for her contribution. While QUEEN KWAI feels more despair and jealous.

QUEEN KWAI is depressed and visits the abandon palace to ease her anger on ex-QUEEN. Thus, ex-QUEEN realizes that KWAI lost the favor of KING and, she laughs from her bottom of heart. Although KWAI is keen to execute ex-QUEEN, KAU strongly opposes her intention. It is because according to prophecy of the Minister, the destinies of both QUEENs are ironically interrelated. On the other hand, burglary happens in Family KIM but, on the cheapest items only. Though it is quite a bit unusual and they still want to find out the suspect. Meanwhile, HOI TONG remembers that QUEEN KWAI visited ‘Ka Yan’ Palace before the burglary; thus, the four beauty wives believe that KWAI is the suspect. They find QUEEN KWAI for negotiation and raise the attention of KING accidentally. KWAI fails to explain the reason for visiting ‘Ka Yan’ Palace; hence, challenges the patient and of KING. Finally, KING loses his temper and rebukes QUEEN KWAI.… ...

Not all the mates that work in the palace are smart, especially HUNG MIN, who is replacing CHAU KUK. HUNG MIN often fails to complete the assignments that QUEEN BO orders; hence, she provides a chance for QUEEN KWAI to precede her conspiracy. QUEEN KWAI takes the opportunity to assign PAK HUP serving QUEEN BO; thus, spies on BO. The four beauty wives know that PAK is a spy and send their regards to QUEEN BO. QUEEN BO is upset about the life in palace, which is full of politics. However, PAK realizes every moves and intentions of QUEEN BO easily.

SASA has a great mood today. She dresses up with the drama clothes and is expecting to play the drama with the famous actor, LAN BAO excitedly. Meanwhile, QUEEN KWAI passes by and loses her mood when she heard the play. SASA finds TSUI AN to practice the drama; however, AN fails to act the role when he has to smash SASA. Hence, LO seeks the opportunity to replacing AN, so that she can give SASA a lesson. On the other hand, the Minister prophecies that KING would have a son this year and the moment would happen on even days. Therefore, QUEEN KWAI tires every way to keep KING at her ‘Don Yum’ Palace on the even days; meanwhile, sends eunuch LING to assault QUEEN BO. Luckily, the body of QUEEN BO is fit enough to escape from the assassin and lets LING suffers instead.

The four beauty wives pray for FUEN FUEN and HAY HAY together and follow the superstition method. Accidentally, they discover that KWAI ZHI is burying a riding whip. Under curiosity, the four beauty wives question ZHI and realize that a fascist has taken away FUEN FUEN and HAY HAY before they suffered from chicken pox. After investigation, the four beauty wives believe that KWOK KAU and eunuch LING are the suspects; hence, they intend to carry out their revenge. On the other hand, QUEEN KWAI is upset that KING devotes all his care on QUEEN BO; in spite of this, she still pretends generous and visits them. KING and QUEEN BO are messaging each other tenderly. QUEEN KWAI makes an excuse to clear an ulcer for QUEEN BO and tends to take revenge. Fortunately, QUEEN BO is capable to decline her kindness.

SASA accommodates LAN BAO at the palace so that he could well prepare his performance. She orders eunuch LING to serve LAN BAO luxuriously and makes LING bitter at heart. The four beauty wives are content to take a view of LAN BAO’s drama clothes but they discover the plot of eunuch LING unexpectedly. They try their best to protect LAN BAO; thus, LING fails to make him lost his voice during the performance. LAN BAO performs successfully and disappoints KWOK KAU, LING and KING as well.
