The first episode features Richard, an amateur radio enthusiast, who has Asperger's. Richard will only date a woman who lives within a five-mile radius, and won't eat on a date. Meanwhile, 23-year old Luke is a stand-up comedian who has Tourette's. He's got an active social life and a good group of friends, but in a world where first impressions are everything, he's petrified of approaching a girl for fear of calling her a slag - or worse. How will Luke cope when he meets Lucy, a part-time receptionist, who's never known anyone with Tourette's before? Trainee teacher Penny, 23, has a genetic disorder that means her bones are extremely brittle. She's never been on a date before, and is worried about getting left behind.
