Meet the Teachers

It’s not just the children that are new - some of the teachers have just joined the school too. When they aren't teaching, form teachers Miss Gibbons and Mr Glendenning, have particularly unusual hobbies. Miss Gibbons takes her tutor group to a gymnastics studio and Mr Glenndining shows off his RNLI rescue skills, earing a new-found respect from their students.

Donna has recently returned to the area from New Zealand and talks about how living in two different countries has changed her life and given her an unusual accent! The Year 7's go on a visit to Beamish, a replica of a Victorian mining village, to find out about life in the past.

Kyran and Alex are friends who sit together in class but Kyran in particular tends to get into trouble for talking too much. Delight came to England a few years ago from Zimbabwe and is making the most of school life, especially impressing people with her singing.

We meet Harry, who has autism and loves dinosaurs - there is nothing he doesn't know about them. What he doesn't have is a good friend: will he find one at Conyers? James gets involved in his lessons and takes everything they have to offer, but will his dyslexia stand in the way of his progress?
