Episode 1

Kate Bliss and Paul Laidlaw's antiques odyssey begins on the south west coast of Wales with a 1960s classic car and a £200 budget - what will they discover on their way to auction in Somerset? Some fake currency potentially lands Paul in hot water at auction while Kate hopes a twin-engine fighter plane will see her chance of a profit soar. Kate finds herself in St Davids, the smallest city in the country, to learn about its namesake. And Paul uncovers the fascinating history of the Pembroke sea planes that proved pivotal in winning the Second World War.

Episode 2

A second outing for Kate Bliss and Paul Laidlaw sees them foraging for riches across the West Country. Paul travels the world with his buys, picking up items from Africa, America and, closer to home, Staffordshire. Elsewhere, Kate blows the biggest horn ever seen on the Road Trip. Kate also heads to Bristol to hear about a woman who made her fortune plugging holes in ships, while Paul is all at sea when he learns the history of the beginnings of the Royal Navy. Their stylish 60s Volvo whisks them through Somerset and onto Hampshire for an auction showdown.

Episode 3

The third trip for experts Kate Bliss and Paul Laidlaw sees them do battle in the antiques emporia of the south coast before an auction in Windsor. Paul plans to crush his opponent's lead with a tank but Kate fights back with a mechanical penguin. Kate visits Portsmouth to find out about a decisive naval confrontation while Paul heads to Southampton to discover how Britain's landscape has been mapped for generations. An exciting auction in Windsor makes this a close-run race - who will come out on top?

Episode 4

Kate Bliss and Paul Laidlaw take the penultimate journey in their 1960s classic car. With only a few pounds separating them, the two experts plump for some very risky buys. Both experts find unusual powder compacts which make for an exciting auction in Brighton. Paul believes a strange collection of medals will honour him with profits - but will a pricey three-figure gamble purchase pay off for Kate? Paul detours to visit a mosque while Kate heads off the beaten track to find time for some gardening, Victorian style.

Episode 5

Kate Bliss and Paul Laidlaw's final trip in the sixties Volvo sees them plot a course through Kent before heading for an auction in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Paul finds himself in Dover and hears about one plucky swimmer who believed bagpipes would help him across the English Channel. Kate, meanwhile, infiltrates a once-top-secret organisation for the afternoon to learn more about their history. The journey ends on a high with an incredible auction in Bury St Edmunds as one expert achieves the highest ever Antiques Road Trip profit.

Episode 6

Natasha Raskin Sharp and Charles Hanson go time-travelling in south west Scotland. Charles uncovers a Neolithic hand axe while Natasha voyages into the age of Arctic exploration. In their 1969 Morris Minor, this pair of auctioneers begin their first Antiques Road Trip together on the Firth of Clyde, making their way through the Scottish Borders to auction in Carlisle. Natasha fancies a barrister's gown while Charles follows up the hand axe purchase with a blood-letting knife and a bowl of porridge. But who will cut a dash at auction?

Episode 7

Charles Hanson drafts in some extra help from his two-year-old daughter Matilda, but can Natasha Raskin Sharp's canny buys see her beat her Derbyshire rival on his own patch? While the 1969 Morris Minor provides most of the transport, Charles also hitches a ride on a horse and cart and buys a Flying Scotsman, while Natasha takes a trip in the oldest lift shaft in the world. Charles is confident his medieval items that were found in a river bed will make him a profit at the auction in the West Midlands.

At auction in Liverpool, Natasha Raskin Sharp is hoping for a big hit with a Sgt Pepper-style military jacket while Charles Hanson hopes to sail away with a profit on two maritime-themed stained-glass panels. Hoping the 60s Morris Minor can make it up the long and winding road, the experts detour to learn about some local heroes. For Natasha it is a story about a didgeridoo, whereas for Charles it is a race to drive a steam train from London to Scotland in the quickest time possible.

Episode 10

Nearing journey's end in north Wales, Natasha talks jam and Jerusalem in Anglesey while Charles comes face to face with a very hungry meerkat in Chester. With the auction looming in rural Mold, the expert duo trawl the antiques emporia for treasures likely to appeal to locals and boost their fortunes - a 1930s turf cutter anyone?

Episode 11

Christina Trevanion and James Braxton begin their antiques hunt in the Scottish Borders with a 60s Jaguar at their disposal. James resorts to torchlight as he rummages in the dark for an occasional table, while Christina hopes some silver-plated cutlery will serve up more than a teaspoon of profit. A short detour has Christina learn about the men who guard the Queen, while James retraces the footsteps of a retired naval officer who revolutionised the way we cross rivers. They point the classic car towards Hamilton for an auction.

Episode 12

Christina Trevanion and James Braxton's antique explorations continue in the cold and snowy Trossachs. Christina's five vests do not impede her hunt for treasure, while James hopes a foxhound will sniff out a few pounds profit at auction in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The 1965 Jaguar purrs all the way to a graveyard in Glasgow, where James investigates some ancient treasures, but not before farmer's wife Christina learns why it was the Scots who transformed arable farming.

Episode 13

Christina Trevanion and James Braxton start this Road Trip adventure in Levenshulme, Manchester. James has the unusual problem of having too much cash, while Christina struggles with her limited funds, deciding to gamble them on a play-worn toy train. Foodie James also finds out about the maverick preacher who became the founding father of vegetarianism, and Christina discovers a feat of engineering brilliance in Lancashire. Their 1965 Jaguar helps them on their way to Merseyside for auction.

Episode 14

The seaside town of Southport in Merseyside is Christina Trevanion and James Braxton's next stop on this trip. James detours from the shops to learn about the Accrington lad who became famous the world over all thanks to his work with Tiffany, and Christina discovers the little-known military connection between Liverpool Football Club and the Boer War. Christina makes a purchase with a Scouting connection, and James spends a vast amount of his cash on two Cantonese jardinieres - but with damage to the neck of one, they are a gamble buy. Only one expert can prove triumphant at auction in Boldon, Tyne and Wear.

Episode 15

In a very sunny Whitley Bay, Christina Trevanion and James Braxton set off on their Road Trip finale in the north east of England. Christina buys a Chinese silver bowl to take into battle against six Japanese porcelain teacups James found in rural Northumberland. After buying an Indian goddess, James finds time to head to South Tyneside to learn about the greatest of all Anglo Saxon scholars. Christina, meanwhile, hopes her purchase of three pigeons won't scare away bidders at the auction. She also comes by a sheepdog with genes to be proud of.

Episode 16

Arusha 'Roo' Irvine and Philip Serrell set off in a 1976 Triumph Stag. Together they plot a course from rural Herefordshire to rural Worcestershire, taking in a trip to a ducking stool and the Museum of Royal Worcester. The pair finish up at a thrilling auction in the village of Little Middleton. Roo, a Scottish dealer with a fondness for Georgian glass, hopes a 300-year-old example will earn her a profit at auction. Phil calls on the help of his pet pooch Daphne to sniff out antiques, only to leave the shop with three canine collectibles in the bag

Episode 17

In the company of Road Trip regular Phil Serrell and a 1970s Triumph Stag called Rudolph, new tripper Arusha 'Roo' Irvine is learning fast, travelling from the antiques shops of the West Midlands to an auction in Sheffield. Phil takes a short trip into Kettering to hear about the town's unlikely connection with Jamaica. Roo also takes a break from the shops to visit some vaults in Coventry, where some incredibly precious silk is kept under lock and key.

Episode 18

Roo Irvine and Phil Serrell explore the antiques shops of Yorkshire and Derbyshire before heading hundreds of miles south to an auction by the Thames in Greenwich, London. Along the way they dig up a bit of coal-mining musical history and find out which iconic London building was made from Yorkshire stone. Phil steps off the scheduled route in an attempt to buy a horse, despite a high asking price from its farmer owner. Roo also isn't one to deviate from what she knows and picks up another piece of her favourite glassware.

Episode 19

Roo Irvine and Phil Serrell reach the outlets of Oxfordshire. Will Phil be tempted by yet more tables? Will Roo again resort to Georgian glass? Will the Stratford-upon-Avon auction supply comedy, tragedy or both? There is also a look how the Chipping Norton Scouts reinvented British baseball, plus the story of the queen of 19th-century science.

Episode 20

Roo and Phil, in a 1970s Triumph, have now reached the glorious Gloucestershire countryside, seeing Tetbury, Stroud and all the rest. But who will be victorious at the final auction in Newent? That may well depend on whether Phil buys furniture this time. As they tootle through the Cotswolds, Phil picks up a Victorian marmalade cutter while Roo hopes a small 16th-century bronze thimble will earn her a big profit. Who's for croquet in Cheltenham? Roo detours to a manicured lawn to learn about the game, while Phil ponders about Malmesbury's most famous philosopher.
