Raj Bisram and Catherine Southon begin a new antiquing adventure, each with £200 in their pockets. On this leg they kick off in Cambridge and end at an auction in Beccles, Suffolk. Catherine detours to Prickwillow, Cambridgeshire, to find out the centuries-old battle to control nature and drain 400,000 hectares of land, known as the Fens. Raj heads to Thetford in Norfolk to learn all about one of the most radical thinkers and writers of the 1700s, who went on to influence both the American and French revolutions. The second outing for Charlie Ross and James Braxton takes them to Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Along the way, take in some of the finest Roman mosaics in Britain and discover the story of an Arts and Crafts masterpiece, before heading towards a Wokingham auction.

At the halfway point of their trip, James Braxton and Charlie Ross shop their way from Buckinghamshire to the Cotswolds. On the way, they take a trip along the towpath of the Grand Union canal and find out about the work of the codebreakers of World War One, before heading to auction at Wotton-under-Edge.

Episode 4

On their penultimate journey, Charlie Ross and James Braxton travel from Glastonbury to Frome by way of Exmoor. James hopes an antibacterial purchase will see him clean up at auction, while Charlie covets some Edwardian silver candlesticks. The pair also visit a gothic cathedral in Wells and discover the story, and taste, of Porlock Bay oysters.

In this edition, Anita Manning and Charles Hanson set out on a new road trip around the antique shops of west Scotland. Along the way, they find out about Glasgow's famous fire-fighting dog and discover how the area once had the biggest sewing machine factory in the world, before ending at an auction in Hamilton.

On their second trip, Anita Manning and Charles Hanson tour Fife, where Charles falls for an old teddy and Anita loses her heart to Shakespeare. In the Scottish Borders, Charles goes on the trail of Hawick's motorcycle racing veteran Jimmie Guthrie, once the fastest man on two wheels in the world, and after a fish tea and the lure of the River Tweed, they head to the auction in Dumfries.

Experts Anita Manning and Charles Hanson are at the midway point of their trip and visit Keswick, Kendal, Cockermouth and Penrith. Anita bags a brass-faced Glasgow-style clock and nets a bargain for less than a pound, and Charles takes on a champion wrestler. Finally, the pair head for auction in Rosewell, Edinburgh.

Experts Anita Manning and Charles Hanson head out on leg four of their jaunt. Anita buys a vintage girls' trike and learns the difference between Scottish and English remembrance poppies at the factory where they are made, while Charles enjoys an 18th-century style tea for under a tenner and gets a lesson in tartan weaving.

Charles Hanson goes native in Scotland and after an unorthodox bargain comes back with a sporran while Anita Manning revives the Auld Alliance with some expensive French transactions. While Anita is reduced to tears by Charles's attempts to master the local lingo, his dancing to a vintage toy record player would make anyone weep. It's a final fling on this Caledonian buying adventure but who will be on their last legs at the auction over the border in North Shields?

A new road trip adventure begins for experts Paul Laidlaw and Margie Cooper in a Morris Minor. Starting in Lincolnshire they take aim for North Yorkshire and an auction in Harrogate. Margie's visit to a haunted antique shop sees her trying to contact the other side. She also picks up a bevy of antiques, including a rather large Royal Dux figurine. Paul is on the scent of militaria and picks up some rather interesting plunder.

Episode 12

The second leg of the road trip for Paul Laidlaw and Margie Cooper kicks off in medieval York as they motor their Morris Minor to auction in Darlington. Paul learns about the man credited as the 'father of aviation' and the story of how this aristocrat sent his footman skyward in a hand-built wooden plane, with obvious consequences. Meanwhile, Margie hears about a 19th-century beast wrestler who championed British wildlife. Hoping for a repeat of his £20,000 success in last series, Paul has high hopes for a mysterious little Islamic pot. Margie's on the right track for profits when she secures a great deal on a Hornby train set.

Paul Laidlaw and Margie Cooper have reached the half way point on their humdinger of a journey. The rain fails to dampen spirits in Scarborough but the roof on their convertible Morris Minor remains firmly shut. On the way to an auction in Rotherham, Paul indulges his top two passions of militaria and collecting as he hears about a hero of the First World War who continued to spend a fortune on collectibles while under fire in the trenches. Margie heads to Whitby to find out about local sailors who went to sea in birds' nests. A big drum, a little horseshoe and a World War Two tunic are amongst the interested lots going under the gavel. But has Paul gambled too much of his kitty?

Paul Laidlaw blows a massive horn on this leg of the road trip, while his travelling companion Margie Cooper goes totally bananas in a hothouse at Chatsworth House. Their reliable Morris Minor takes them from Chesterfield to auction in Leicester. On the way, Paul gets excited about bus conductors, while Margie sweetens the deal with a very peculiar honey separator. Paul's vast knowledge of militaria helps him uncover an unusual collectible from the First World War, though it's questionable whether anyone in the saleroom will know what it is. Margie hopes a gruesome find will attract big bids.

It's the last outing for intrepid antiquers Margie Cooper and Paul Laidlaw. On this final leg, they're shopping in Warwickshire before the last auction in Shrewsbury. Margie goes into hiding, picks up a pair of binoculars and hunts for rare birds. Paul has some fun in Coventry - ditching the Morris Minor, taking to two wheels and a penny farthing. But the big battle comes down to the little lots at auction - Margie's Victorian miniature shoes go up against Paul's tiny toy gun. Who'll be crowned champion of this Road Trip?

The second leg of Raj Bisram and Catherine Southon's trip begins in Norwich, Norfolk, and ends at an auction in Colchester, Essex. A detour to Swaffham has Raj learn about this quaint market town's unlikely connection to Tutankhamun, while Catherine hears about the region's most ferocious warrior queen - the legendary Boudica. Raj blows almost his entire budget and an arm-wrestle haggle gets him nowhere, while canny Catherine purchases a little silver skier for a few pounds.

Raj Bisram and Catherine Southon reach the halfway point of their road trip. Starting in Suffolk, they are headed for an auction in Bourne, Lincolnshire. Catherine gets to the point with a propelling pencil, while Raj hopes to get ahead at auction with some 19th-century Italian hatpins. Detours around East Anglia give an opportunity for Catherine to learn how melons have helped to save millions of lives, while Raj meets an endangered horse with a significant history in these parts.

Catherine Southon and Raj Bisram are headed to the land of bakewell tarts and strong blue cheese in beautiful Derbyshire. This penultimate leg sees them headed to Worcestershire for the auction. Catherine hopes 19th-century French opera glasses will hit the right note, while Raj hopes some tin-based royal memorabilia will attract big bids. Raj is distracted from antique hunting by some sweet and savoury local delicacies. Catherine ditches the MG classic car for transport by tram as she hears all about the women of World War I who instigated the first unionised strike for equal pay in Britain.

Catherine Southon and Raj Bisram embark on the final stage of their road trip. Travelling in a classic MG, the duo crossed the country, starting in East Anglia and destined for Bristol. Catherine hopes to be top dog with two porcelain Staffordshire poodles, while Raj has pinned his hopes on a spinning globe. However, it's the battle over a Scottish snuff mull that both experts are attracted to. On the way, Catherine visits Leamington Spa to hear the town's connection to the assassination of one of Hitler's inner circle. Raj, meanwhile, heads to Solihull to take a ride on a motorbike that won races and helped win the war.
