This time, they begin in Brampton, Cumbria - 133 miles from their starting point in Perth. Hettie, an auctioneer and dealer from Nottingham, is on her very first Road Trip. She sticks to her first love, jewellery, buying two stunning brooches made centuries apart. Old hand David from Barnard Castle has scoured the entire UK over the years, and today roots out a First World War campaign chest, a stunning copper charger and a Bakelite heart-shaped box. David also tracks down a bear and an art deco figurine while making a famille rose bowl sing. David visits a Chorley-based, traditional soap maker with a complex history involving not just a flight from the Russian revolution of 1917, but escape from persecution under the Nazis too.
