Carolle goes to find Christophe at the hospital where he's recovering from the assault. She can't help but give him the latest news about Derek. Jacinthe, the administrative manager, introduces Christophe to Claudie Marchessault, the new educational director. Wivine, an African-Canadian who has just returned to Quebec, starts at the school. Marie-Jo Poirier makes an unexpected discovery at her monthly medical checkup.

While accompanying Daphnée, who is due to appear before the judge, Anne and Christophe have an unexpected encounter. Julie is being advised by her lawyer before filing a formal complaint for the sexual assault of her brother Patrick in his early teens. Édith assures him of her support.
