The story unfolds on the insight of Tenali Raman's desire to outwit the Rajguru at every turn, and become the royal court jester of Vijayanagara. Rajguru has a slave bonded by a contract, which states that the slave cannot free himself from servitude unless he pays the mentioned amount of gold coins to Rajguru.
